The Story Behind Blufflands Environmental School
Founded to address the growing disconnect between students and the natural world, Blufflands Environmental School emerged from the vision of educators and community leaders in La Crosse. Our commitment to experiential, nature-based education began with a rigorous planning phase to establish partnerships and develop an inclusive governance model. We aspire to grow our offerings from middle school to a full 4K-12 educational model, highlighting environmental stewardship.
